LENA'S MEATBALL MADNESS SPONSORSHIP
Lena's 2nd Annual Meatball Madness
Sponsorship Opportunities
March 11, 2023
11:00am - 1:30pm
Lenny Harris Memorial Fields at Braddock Park
(1005 Mount Vernon Avenue)
In honor of National Meatball Day, Lena's Wood-Fired Pizza & Tap is hosting its 2nd Annual Meatball Madness. When all eyes are on college hoops, local teams are battling it out in a different (and tastier) competition. Individuals gather their winning team of four to see if they can balance Lena's Giant Meatball on a spoon without dropping it in record time, unleashing their inner elementary school relay race skills. As teams win, they advance to the next round in this fast-paced tournament. Sixteen teams begin, but only one team will be named the 2023 Meatball Madness Winner (and FREE Pizza for a Year!).
Last year’s inaugural event was a huge success and benefitted the Carpenter Shelter, a local non-profit that supports individuals experiencing and at risk of homelessness to achieve sustainable independence through shelter and housing placement, guidance, education, and advocacy.
This year’s event is open to competitors of all ages and participants will receive a free t-shirt and a complimentary Lena’s Giant Meatball. New this year will be awards for Best Costumes, Best Team Name, and Best Spirit, Lena’s Mini Meatball Kids Relay for little ones to enjoy, and a Meatball Madness after party in Lena’s Beer Garden with live music and beer specials. Win, lose, or meatball fall, everyone is sure to have a good time, but the winning team will receive a trophy and Pizza for a Year!
This unique, family-friendly, charity event, with vendor opportunities, is soon becoming a Del Ray tradition, making it a great and fun community event to sponsor.
2023 Meatball Madness Charity
This year’s Lena’s Meatball Madness charity will be the Dunbar Alexandria-Olympic Boys & Girls Club, whose mission is to help boys and girls of all backgrounds, especially those who need us most, build confidence, develop character and acquire the skills needed to become productive, civic-minded, responsible adults.
